Your website. Your assistant.Illustration

AI assistant

Hello, I'm the AI front-desk assistant. How can I help you today?

Visitor

I have a question about your services. Could someone call me back?

AI assistant

Of course. What name and callback number should I use for your request?

Browser voice · no visitor account needed
Illustrative conversation, not a live call or saved request.

From first hello to a useful enquiry

A website voice assistant your team can actually use

01

A conversation, not another form

Visitors click your floating call button, allow the microphone and speak naturally. They do not need a Voicely login or a separate app.

02

Your knowledge. Your voice.

Import a text PDF, review its facts and write focused intake questions. Choose a speaker, opening language, delivery style and greetings in your dashboard.

03

Room for the visitor to speak

Hands-free voice detection handles turns. A visitor can interrupt the assistant to ask a question or correct a detail without holding a Talk button.

04

Capture the next step naturally

With lead capture enabled, volunteered name and mobile number become a callback request. Corrections update the same request; email is optional.

05

Review what actually happened

Open your lead inbox, protected call recording and transcript. Daily call counts, minutes and error summaries help you review the experience.

06

Install without exposing a secret

Verify your website through DNS and copy your account’s script. The public agent ID is not an API key; website voice access also requires activation and funding.

Complete setup tutorial

How to add an AI calling agent to your website

Start with a well-trained assistant, test the conversation, then connect the exact website where visitors will use it. All account settings stay in your workspace; the embed contains no private credentials.

  1. 1

    Open your agent workspace

Sign in to Voicely and open Calling agent dashboard from your account menu. Calling is currently a controlled preview for access-enabled accounts. If your workspace is unavailable, contact support before installing a widget.

    Open agent dashboard →
  2. 2

Train the assistant with your business facts

Open Configure agent. Upload a text-based PDF, then review the imported knowledge entries, source notes and search keywords. Add services, opening hours, service areas and useful FAQs. Remove outdated or unsupported claims. Scanned PDFs need selectable text before import.

    Open training →
  3. 3

Choose the voice, language and greetings

Select English, Urdu or Hindi as the opening language and choose a speaker from the available catalog. Write the opening greeting in that language; it is not automatically translated. Set your delivery style, closing greeting and wording for unknown information. Keep the required AI disclosure.

  4. 4

Keep intake short and make lead capture optional

Add one or two useful questions per topic rather than a long questionnaire. Enable automatic callback capture if you want to collect a name and mobile number, and optionally ask for email. Saving a request does not book a callback. A notification-recipient setting is available, but automatic email dispatch is not enabled in the current preview.

  5. 5

Save your training and test a complete call

Private Test call requires approved private tester access. An ordinary customer account does not grant that access. Click Save & use for calls, then open Test call. Try an ordinary enquiry, a language switch, an interruption and a corrected callback number. End the call and review the inbox, recording and transcript. The saved version is pinned when a new call starts; editing the draft does not change a call already in progress.

    Open private test call →
  6. 6

Verify the website where the button will appear

In Website integration, add your HTTPS domain. Copy the displayed TXT record name and value to the DNS provider that manages your domain, such as Cloudflare if your nameservers point there. Click Verify DNS, then Enable floating icon. Verify the www and non-www origins separately if both are used.

  7. 7

Copy the embed and check voice activation

Copy your own Website <head> snippet and paste it before the closing </head> tag in your website template. Reload a page and look for the floating button. Verify that Website integration reports customer-funded voice access, and check the displayed rate and available credits. DNS verification alone does not activate paid voice calls.

Copy the real snippet from your dashboard

It includes your own agent ID and the current service URL. Do not reuse another business's script or replace its ID with a secret API key. Install it before </head>, not as visible page text.

Built for enquiries that deserve a human follow-up

Professional-service front desks

Collect a short description of an enquiry and callback details for human review. A law-firm assistant can gather intake, not replace legal counsel or promise an outcome.

Property and service enquiries

Answer approved questions about service areas and offerings, then capture a caller’s interest and contact details without pretending to confirm availability.

Education and training enquiries

Explain published course information and gather an enquiry for your team. Keep dates, eligibility and fees in reviewed training rather than allowing guesses.

Businesses serving multilingual visitors

Start in your selected language and let visitors request a switch. Test the languages, names and pronunciation that your actual audience uses.

Clear boundaries, before anyone starts talking

Recordings, transcripts and private review

The current preview provides owner-protected recordings and transcripts for 24 hours, plus retained usage summaries. Give visitors a clear recording notice, keep sensitive documents out of unnecessary training, and follow your business's privacy requirements.

A captured lead is a request for your team, not a promise of a booked appointment, callback time or professional outcome.

Account credits, not a hidden visitor bill

Website calls use the owner's paid Voicely credits at the rate displayed in the dashboard. Credits are reserved before a call starts; usage settles by duration after confirmed cleanup. An uncertain outcome can keep its reservation pending.

Private Test calls have a separate provider-testing allowance. Credit checkout is disabled on staging; check the workspace for current access and balance.

Setup help and troubleshooting

The button is missing

Check the exact HTTPS origin, DNS verification and floating-icon setting. Install the script in the rendered page head and reload. Some site builders require publishing the template before a script appears.

The button appears, but Start is unavailable

Check the Website integration voice-status message. Domain verification and installation are separate from voice activation. Your account also needs saved training and enough credits for admission.

The microphone or interruption does not work

Allow microphone access in your browser and operating system, then check the selected input device. Try headphones to reduce speaker echo. Include your device and browser when reporting a problem.

A reply or voice is unavailable

Do not keep starting calls to force a retry. Review the visible message, usage and available transcript. Report the call ID and approximate time to support without sending account passwords or API keys.

Need help? Contact Voicely support with your call ID, time, device and browser. Do not include passwords, API keys or unnecessary caller details.

Website calling agent FAQs

What is a website AI calling agent?

It is a voice assistant visitors can speak to inside their browser. Voicely combines speech recognition, context-aware replies and streamed speech with your reviewed business knowledge. It is different from a prerecorded greeting or a text-only chatbot.

Do visitors need an account or a phone number to call?

Visitors do not need a Voicely account or a phone number to start a browser call. They click the website button and allow microphone access. A callback number is collected only as part of an enabled follow-up flow.

Can I train the agent with a PDF?

Yes. Upload a text-based PDF in Training, review the editable knowledge it creates and save the version for calls. PDF import alone does not activate new training. Scanned image-only documents need text extraction before import.

Can I choose the speaker and opening language?

Yes. Training provides the available speaker catalog, voice delivery instructions, an opening greeting and a closing greeting. Opening-language choices currently include English, Urdu and Hindi. Write your opening greeting in the selected language and test pronunciation before enabling website access.

Can callers interrupt the assistant?

The hands-free browser call supports visitor interruptions. Microphone permissions, speaker echo and device settings can affect detection, so test on the mobile phones and laptops your visitors use. No physical-device performance guarantee is implied.

How does callback capture work?

When enabled, the agent collects a caller’s name and mobile number through conversation and saves a private request once the required details are available. An optional email can also be collected. Corrections update the same request. Your team must review it; a saved request is not a booked or guaranteed callback.

Are recordings and transcripts available?

Yes. The current preview stores protected call recordings and transcripts for 24 hours. The account dashboard provides available downloads, while durable usage summaries remain after an archive expires. Tell visitors about recording and follow your business’s privacy requirements.

How do I add the floating call button to my website?

Add and verify your HTTPS domain in Website integration, enable the floating icon, and copy your account’s script into the website head. A working voice call additionally requires activated website voice access, saved training and sufficient account credits. The script uses a public agent ID, not a secret API key.

Can I add the verification TXT record in Cloudflare?

Yes, if Cloudflare manages your domain’s authoritative DNS. Add the exact TXT record shown in the dashboard there. You do not have to add it at the registrar unless the registrar is also your DNS provider. Verify each website origin you plan to use.

How are website calls billed?

Your dashboard shows your account’s credits-per-minute rate and available paid credits. Website calls reserve credits before starting and settle by duration after confirmed cleanup. Private Test calls do not deduct the customer wallet, but still consume the operator’s provider-testing allowance. Credit checkout is not enabled on staging.

Does it send notification emails or book appointments?

Not in the current preview. A notification recipient can be saved, but automatic email alerts and callback or appointment booking are not enabled. Review saved requests and contact visitors through your normal business process.

Is this a telephone, WhatsApp or outbound dialling agent?

No. This page describes browser-based website voice calls. Telephone numbers, WhatsApp calling and outbound dialling are not included in the current preview. Use the dashboard setup guide for the website widget.

Make the first conversation easier.

Prepare your facts, choose your voice, and test the experience your visitors will have. Your dashboard brings training, website installation and call review together.
