The story begins with Yuki remembering a strange game that started with Miku when they were both in the sixth grade: the famous "I love you" game. The rule was as simple as it was cruel—they had to say "I love you" to each other, and the first one to blush or feel their heart racing would lose. Back then, it seemed like nonsense to Yuki, and to be honest, he still thinks the same. The problem is that four years have passed, and out of pure stubbornness, the two of them keep playing as if their pride depended on it. Most incredible is that neither has achieved a definitive victory, turning their ongoing battle into the best possible show for everyone around them. During a visit to their usual coffee shop, they become entangled in an argument full of hints, reproaches, and provocations. Miku complains that if they keep going at this pace, the game will never end. To top it off, she teases him by saying he looked ridiculously good the day he confessed to her. Yuki turns red instantly, and Miku, who knows every one of his reactions, mocks him immediately. Yuki tries to defend himself, arguing that only she notices those small changes in his face, so it shouldn't even count as a defeat. Hanako, a waitress, observes with amusement that their game has changed, while Masaru, the owner, explains that the rules have evolved. It is no longer limited to saying "I love you";
