My girlfriend started getting flowers at work every Friday

My girlfriend started getting flowers at work every Friday. No name, no note, just expensive bouquets. At first she laughed it off, but then she started hiding them from me. One night I asked who was sending them and she got weirdly defensive. That’s when I knew something was wrong. The next Friday I waited outside her office. Around 5 PM, a guy in a suit pulled up with roses. She walked out smiling and hugged him. My stomach dropped. I followed them to a fancy restaurant and sat a few tables behind them. Then I heard him ask, “Do you think he suspects anything?” and she replied, “We can’t hide this from him forever.” I lost it. I walked over and said, “Yeah, I think he suspects enough.” My girlfriend went pale. The guy stood up and said, “Wait… you’re Daniel?” I said, “Who the hell are you?” He pulled out an old photo of my dad standing beside a little boy. Him. Turns out my father had another family before us. He died two months ago, and my girlfriend found his secret while helping with legal paperwork. She’d been meeting my half-brother in secret trying to plan a reunion between both families. The flowers were never for her. They were for my mom.
