Keep the litter completely dry—if you see any wet areas, replace them or add fresh dry material right away, because moisture is the main cause of gas production. Check your drinkers and water lines for leaks and fix them immediately to prevent further wetness. Also, don’t keep the shed fully closed; allow proper airflow, especially during cooler times of the day. You can also use lime or ammonia-control powder on the litter to reduce gas levels.
