Led by the legendary general Khalid ibn al-Walid, Muslim forces achieved a historic victory despite being outnumbered. This battle is generally recorded to have taken place in August 636 CE, but events leading up to it were developing months earlier… approximately around this time of the year. Their strategy and determination changed the course of history. This victory opened the doors of Syria and the Levant… and reshaped the region forever.
