Stage 2 – Obsession / Focus on the Goal Chanakya said: “Effort done with single-minded focus gives birth to great achievements.” This stage teaches that your goal must be clear, and you must have obsession toward it. Most people say they want to become rich, but their efforts and goals do not match. They want to learn many things at once and chase multiple dreams at the same time. “I want to become rich, but at the same time I want to learn music, travel, and be good at sports.” Chanakya says that having too many goals at once prevents mastery in any single goal. Example Scene: Amit decided that his main goal was wealth and freedom. He postponed all secondary things and focused entirely on becoming rich. Inner thought: “I will put all my energy only into becoming rich. Other things can come later.” This obsession prepared him for the next stage. Stage 3 – Discovery / Value and Learning Wealth and success do not come only from hard work, but from creating value. According to Chanakya: “A person earns only what is valuable according to society and time.” At this stage, you learn which skill is most profitable for you and commit to following it. Practical Steps: Observe successful people. Note their mistakes and strategies. Adopt a proven pathway for yourself. Example Scene: Amit noticed a model shop running in the village. He started working there, asked questions, made notes, and understood customers’ needs. Inner thought: “I will learn this and open my own shop. I will make fewer mistakes and keep learning.” Chanakya says that finding a mentor and a proven pathway is the shortcut to life.
