At around 25 days of age, broiler chickens enter a very critical phase where rapid body growth puts extra pressure on their overall health, and multiple issues often appear together if management is not proper. One of the main root causes is poor ventilation, which allows ammonia gas to build up inside the shed. This not only creates respiratory problems—such as panting, coughing, and open-mouth breathing—but also weakens the birds’ immunity, making them more vulnerable to bacterial infections like E. coli. At the same time, wet litter caused by water leakage, high humidity, or inadequate airflow further worsens the environment. It increases ammonia levels, damages the birds’ feet and skin, and becomes a breeding ground for harmful bacteria. These combined stresses lead to reduced feed intake, uneven flock growth, and overall poor performance
