"Approximately in the month of April… one of the greatest battles in Islamic history was taking shape!" The Battle of Yarmouk was fought between the Muslim army and the Byzantine Empire. Led by the legendary general Khalid ibn al-Walid, Muslim forces achieved a historic victory despite being outnumbered. This battle is generally recorded to have taken place in August 636 CE, but events leading up to it were developing months earlier… approximately around this time of the year. Their strategy and determination changed the course of history. This victory opened the doors of Syria and the Levant… and reshaped the region forever.
